Red Brick "Clock Tower" in Vintage Frame

Regular price $ 950.00

This classic red brick clock tower is housed in an 18” x 22” vintage frame. Both frame and canvas background are painted in my signature charcoal gray, not quite black.

This was inspired by an old red brick Clock Tower at the town square in Hudson, Ohio. And also, by The Miller Bell Tower inside Chautauqua Institution, in Chautauqua, New York; a place my family frequently visited when I was a child. Really, such clock towers can be found in towns across the United States, many constructed with traditional red brick and 100 (or more) years old.

This “Clock Tower” is constructed from small pieces of brown beach glass, brushed with traditional red paint (sealed) and accented with wire, driftwood, and stone. It is surrounded by clusters of tree branches made with wire, piles of varied colored/textured green beach glass.

Mixed media, original art, created with materials salvaged from the beaches of Lake Erie, east of Cleveland, Ohio.
