Pineapple is an the top of a an old, rusted, metal serving spoon, embellished with paint, a hint of glitter. (sealed). Leaves are green beach glass found on the beaches of Lake Erie. pineapple sits on a 4” x 7” piece of salvage wood washed in creamy, antique white paint. Can sit in a picture holder or hang on a wall.
Why a pineapple? I created one for fun a couple of years ago, and they’ve been popular ever since!!
Odd shape? I’m happy to patch the bottom of the “spoon” with rusty metal, to complete the oval shape. I certainly have plenty of salvaged beach metal. I left it alone, as I found it.
My dogs and I walk on the beach most days. They swim, run off excess energy and I collect beach glass, stones, metal, wire, plastic, rubber... bring it all home in my backpack to be used in my art—or recycled.
