This cream stone angel with rusty metal halo sits on a 5 1/2” x 9” chunk of salvage wood, stained a rich chocolate brown color, then washed with charcoal gray paint. There’s a bit of copper/brown glitter and also a slight turquoise patina in the halo.
This is a diversion for me. I played with staining wood, which shows the grain patterns in the wood. One edge of the wood is rough, rustic. And I’ve never used cream stones, but I think they look lovely with the brown toned wood.
